  If I understand the member's objection to the petition correctly, I agree with him.
  
  The 2A says 'shall not be infringed'. The Ruger petition says go ahead and keep records on me and my friends, just don't take my stuff away right now.
  
  Any 'checks' or 'permits' or local 'approvals' turn a God-given right into a privilege granted by the USG. I have heard that called the 'camel's nose under the tent'.
  
  The USG does not allow us the ability to defend the Constitution; the Constitution charges each of us to defend it.

  Sorry Sir, I didn't ask anything about gun control but I did inquire what you did to support your God given right to defend yourself, however (that is with a stick, axe, knife, sword or gun) ?
  Sorry for the misunderstanding. While I am forced to comply with the NCIS to purchase some firearms, it does not mean I am going to advocate for its existence.
