Just looking for an approx. age of a s&w model 10-7 with g-21
& serial # 51387 on cylinder swing arm (crane?)

For a specific DOM your going to have to give us at least a partial serial number, that is on the bottom of the grip.

Model 10's of that era had a 5 digit serial number with a alphanumerical prefix from "2D" to 9D".

Thanks guys. the pistol belonged to my dad for a lot of years. i made the mistake of selling it but just got it back today. i know its not a high priced gun but it has more value to me as a legacy

Model 10's are great shooters. I have a 10-5, nice trigger, smooth action. They are not making them like this anymore.

You won't wear that model 10 out shooting standard pressure .38 special rounds. Fire away![:)]
