Empty shot shell boxes

I have several empty vintage 12 Ga. boxes I want to sell on auction.
My question is: How do most people ship the boxes? Unfolded/Flatened to reduce shipping cost? Or left as is and put inside another box with lot's of protection to keep from getting crushed?

  I've sold empty boxes before, I either place them inside another box or reinforce them with additional cardboard on the outside and then wrap in brown paper (which is a pain to do).
  These were boxes that were originally pasted on the end flaps, if yours are a simple fold then I would fold them, put cardboard reinforcement on both sides and place inside a padded envelope.

  I sell many. It depends on age an value and how fragile the box. I almost never ship folded as it almost always damage the box

  i have about 30, 12 ga. boxes i folded about 45 years ago stored somewhere in one of 7 "chest type" boxes in my storage shed, what would some of those boxes be worth ??
  
  they are Winchester, Remington, REM/UMC, others i do not recall at the moment.

  greatly depends. Remington & Federal 10 bucks + Win Western Peters 15-25 All prices each. They bring MUCH better prices on that other site that starts with an E I wish that weren't true but it is. Most of the stuff from the 60's doesn't bring a lot though, They need to be older

  Also, Boxes that are of more value are the smaller gauges, 410, 28, 16, & 20 ga.
  Same with the rifle boxes. The older rare rifle cartridge boxes have a decent value.
