Jing An O/U 12g shell length

    It may not be marked 2 3/4", but maybe marked 70mm near the proofs, sometimes on the water table, usually on the bottom of the barrels, on or near the lug.

    If in doubt, find a smith that has a shotgun chamber guage. I picked up a H&A made in 1913 that is not even marked with the gauge, much less shell length- and had my smith take his chamber guage to it.

    Take a fired (in a gun you know has a 3'' chamber) 3'' shell and try to chamber it. If it slides in easily the the gun should have 3'' chamber, if there's a lot of resistance or it gets stuck the then it should be a 2 3/4" chamber.
