IDENTIFY ORIGIN GW98

I need some help identifying this rifle coming from a deceased law enforcement's personal collection. I was asked by the widow of a retired state police detective to help identify several small arms that were acquisitioned during renovations.The most interesting is a GEW98 stamped SPANDAU 1908 on reciever. The period military leather sling in immaculate cond. is stamped W.T.&B.CO.1918 then C.A.O.THE STOCK IS ROUGH, BUT THE NUMBERS ON EVERY PART OF THIS FIREARM MATCH.#7181 ON EVERY STAMPED PART ON THIS G98 BOLT ACTION. THE ELEVATION SIGHTS ARE OBVIOUSLY ORIGINAL AS THE METER MARKS IN 4-20.THIS RIFLE HAS OBVIOUSLY NOT BEEN THRU AN ARSENAL REFURB AND MAY POSSIBLY HAVE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE. -PLEASE ADVISE. J. A.

  Spandau was a German military arsenal outside of Berlin. Probably made 100's of thousands G 98's between 1898 and 1918. Pre W W I 98's in arsenal original condition aren't very common any more. Need quality photos for accurate identification and valuation.

  I HAVE A DECENT CAMERA NIKON L22 BUT AFTER REVIEWING THE ATTACHMENTS, YOU CANNOT LEGIBLY SEE THE #'S. THIS IS FRUSTRATING TO ME AS I THOUGHT I'D BE ABLE TO SEND ATTACH. WITH MORE CLARITY. ---HONESTLY- NOW -DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS MORE INVOLVED THAN SENDING JUST AN E-MAIL/W ATTACH. SORRY TO WASTE YOUR TIME(AND MINE) I'M NOT ABLE TO DO THIS AS EASILY AS I THOUGHT.
