weight of Reminton 1100
Can't seem to find the weight of a Remington 1100 in 410ga. light weight. They may be about the same as a 12ga. which I found to be about 8 lbs. They do seem to be pretty heavy. Anyone know the weight? Thanks

My 1977 Rem catalog lists the 410 1100 at 7 1/4 lbs and my 1987 catalog says 7 lbs. Seems pretty heavy for a 410. 0 -
The few I have held sure seem heavy for a light weight in 410ga, What do you thank of Rem. 1100 in 410ga vs. a 20ga. Thanks 0 -
I have shot an 1100 in 12, 20 and 28 gauge for 40 years mostly with reloads. Can't remember a malfunction. The 28 felt like 6 lbs max but is listed as 6 3/4. Maybe the excellent balance and fit made them feel lighter. The 20 and 28 were ideal for all my upland hunting but would consider the 410 only for quail and woodcock. 0 -
My 1100-20 VR Lightweight weighs 7#.
The 410 & 28 gauge may also be on the smaller 20 ga frame.
The 20 gauge 1100 was made on both the larger, heavier 12 gauge frame and the smaller Lightweight 20 gauge frame.0 -

Surly it weighs more than that, a current auction for a 1911 says actual shipping cost are charged and list the weight at 40 pounds.
Edit: It didn't say how it would ship just that the weight was 40 pounds, I would hate to pay shipping on a 40 pound package shipped next day air.0 -

Click on 'specifications',it shows the .410 bore as 6 1/4 #,with a 27"barrel.0 -
Joe, Your spec list is for a 2012 "sporting model" The weights listed in my post were from Rem's catalogs from 30 years ago for their standard model. 5mm has the solution. Weigh it. 0
