same thing here I have been trying to get Beverly for a letter on a 1888 SAA frontier six shooter I bought a month ago

EDITI talked to Beverly this afternoon and ordered 4 letters one for SAA 44/40 made in 1888 that checked out and then 3 1911 commerical that I had on my eye candy post Two with swartz safety serial numbers 37 apart and one first month production low low 4 digit serial. [:)] however BEVERLY said they were running about 120 days behind in research[:(]

Part of the reason might be that they close down for the Holidays (maybe 2 weeks?), and when they come back there is a big backlog of messages.

    Colt Defense or Colt's Manufacturing?

Under the same umbrella, but two different companies.

I got a call from Colt a few minutes ago and the archivist I spoke with said that he would probably be working on my orders again today. As expected they are very busy. I placed my orders with them five to six months back.

Txs: Thanks for the response...Colt's Manufacturing.

I tried calling today for a first-time contact to ask a question, and after half an hour of being on customer service hold, I decided to give up and try again sometime later on. What CAN they help you with over the phone? I've read that they can look up when a Colt firearm was manufactured by giving them the serial number, can they do that with 1 phone call, or will it take multiple phone calls to get directed to the right department, and then have that depatment look up the info in their records?

Thanks, I knew about the one, but didn't know about the one on Colt's own site. Sadly, the gun I want to look up I know is notorious for having incomplete information online, it's a Colt Python Target in 38 Special. I know it was only made for a short time in the 1990's, and just wanted to try to find out the exact date. I'll try Colt again later on, and see if they can help me.
