Ar-10 vs AR-15
I bought a brand new Windham .223/5.56 in November. Never fired. Still never fired. I want to trade for a AR-10 in close to same shape. I have a Vortex Strikefire Sight on mime. I really want the AR-10 for hunting and a .308 would serve me better but I could not pass up the deal on this Windham. What can I expect in a trade for a AR-10. Also as a first time 5.56 buyer I have 840 rounds of Lake City tracer. Are tracer or regular FMJ ammo worth more?

I don't follow the AR10 market but they may have appreciated in value about like the AR15 so the 2 for 1 might still be close. Many organized ranges don't allow tracer ammo but I'm sure it's selling for more than you invested. 0 -
The big difference for me is the cost of ammo, the .308 is a buck or more a round. The .223 ammo is less expensive in a normal market. I like the .308 and reload it and it keeps the price of shooting down to a reasonable price.

You don't specify a specific AR10 platform and there are a few and at this time prices are not stable. Under normal circumstances I would say your AR15 and $200-$500 and it could go higher for a higher end AR10. Normally the tracer ammo would be worth about 2x more then the FMJ ammo. 0 -

Up until a few weeks ago, either NATO surplus or NATO-spec stuff was available for 45-60 cents/round0 -
