    David.. Being manufactured by Ludwig Loewe makes it antique.. They renamed the company to DWM in 1896..

    Yep, antique. Can't beat that old world craftsmanship. I have several of these little guys and they are great rifles....and the round is kinda nice also. Good luck on the sale[:)]

    That's one of the late import 1891 carbines with a intact Argentine national crest. Most all of the Model 1891 Argentine rifles when they were imported in the 50's/60's had the crests ground off. For a Mauser rifle collector, it makes it a must have.
