Mauser Experts, Is This An Antique?
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=324321852
1891 Argentine Mauser, made in Berlin.
One member emailed me and stated that this rifle is an antique. If it really is a pre-1899 antique, and I can verify it, I will change the listing to indicate so.
Thanks.

David.. Being manufactured by Ludwig Loewe makes it antique.. They renamed the company to DWM in 1896..

Yep, antique. Can't beat that old world craftsmanship. I have several of these little guys and they are great rifles....and the round is kinda nice also. Good luck on the sale[:)] 0 -
That's one of the late import 1891 carbines with a intact Argentine national crest. Most all of the Model 1891 Argentine rifles when they were imported in the 50's/60's had the crests ground off. For a Mauser rifle collector, it makes it a must have. 0 -
