    Unfortunately, the way those, the Tikka T3, and the Ruger American are set up, most likely not, will you find a stock for them. The recoil lug is not on the rifle itself, but it is molded into the stock, with a mating groove cut in the rifles reciever.

    I obtained a "youth" stock for my Axis, because the factory one is too long with any appreciable clothing layer on.

    It's about 1.5" shorter than the factory "grown up" stock.

    +1 ... and Boyd is not a drop in option. The best thing you can do with the stock without spending $$$ is stiffen it and bed it at the same time. I've seen others reinforce the stock with some kind of metal rods and fill it with JB weld or equivalent.

    I'm sure if you google it or go to the Savage shooters forum you can find someone that posted their project similar to yours. Good luck!
