Karl is right on the money. I had 2 1927 Thompsons from an estate, one was unfired, the other was lightly used. I played with the used one and found it liked the same load as my 1911s, 4.5grs. of Bullseye.

Thanks again for the confirmation. Always great to have 2 opions that "jive" - great comfort level. Also, I am presuming that both of you are infering that the bullet is a 230 Gr RN FMJ?

Hey - I just wanted to thank you guys AGAIN for the info. You really DO know your "stuff!" I shot 50 rounds using 20 and 30 round magazines. I only had 1 jam - and the reason I think had noting to do with the load. The case possibly was damaged on the rim. THEN I shot some 200 and 185 Gr RN and HP reloaded with Tite Group that I reloaded for my 1911's. Every 2nd or 3rd shot jammed. Thanks again - you've saved me a lot of grief and agrivation - not to mention some money doing "test loads."
