Cobra CB380
I have a Cobra Model CB380 in the shop that has a proplem with the safety button. It will move from "Fire" to "Safe" with considerable pressure but takes a blow from a hammer to move it from "Safe" to "Fire". I haven't found any instructions on working on the safety. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!! Gunswapper.

Have your tried Numrich Arms schematics? 0 -
Throw gun away and tell client you lost it. [;)]
Or better yet, wait until your stupid local gov't has a "buyback" then trade this in then.
OK, seriously, schematic is here, right on the manufacturer's webpage:
http://www.cobrapistols.net/store/pc/Big-Bore-Derringer-Parts-c21.htm
A copy is also in the instruction manual, including a parts list, AND prices for replacement parts (see pages 26 and 27):

My guess is the safety button itself is defective, though other problems are also possible (bad pin, defective frame).
For what its worth, these guns cost less than $150 new in box, so I wouldn't go too crazy trying to fix one up. The manufacturer does offer a "lifetime warranty" so maybe you contact them with your problem and see if they'll fix it for you. They "should".
Contact info for repair is on the last page of the manual I linked to above.0 -
Thanks for the info. I am contacting the company. 0
