NEF Pardner pump protector

After you all tell me I'm stupid, I need some advice.
I purchased this 12 gauge 2 days ago NIB. I got it home and attempted to test fire it the next day. It absolutley will not feed a round from the tube about 95% of the time. It will take 12 pumps to shoot 3 rounds. It just doesn't feed. I can send it back for repair but know it will take months because of very poor H&r customer service. Anyone have these issues and know a fix. I know it can't be that hard to repair. Any help will be appriciated. [:(]

My expert advice is if it's new, send it in or see if your gun shop will give you an exchange ore return because it is defective merchandise. No excuse, in my opinion, for something as simple as a pump shotgun not working out of the box. 0
