You need to find a new gun store. Thats a flat out lie. There hasn't even been an actual gun ban or ammo ban brought to the table. Now there has been panic buying which has created a shortage but there are no restrictions on buying .223 or 5.56.

If the ammo .223 and 5.56 being is being banned from the public, then why are people in the Gunbrokers auction forum site buying AR-15 rifles at twice what they cost 10 days ago?

There are plenty of ill informed or just flat out greedy gun dealers who spread bs like that just to line their pockets.

If they can't get ammo, I'm sure they'll find a good use for them. [:D]

So are you saying the manufacturers are still currently producing .223/5.56, because many ammo websites are saying that back orders sells are not available?

Actually I went out the door with nothing, as he did not have and .223 or 5.56 ammo.

You were flat out lied to, and Yes, all of the major ammo makers are still producing it. It is readily available from lots of sources.

I bought two boxes of Remington .223 this morning at Bi Mart here in Yakima and Cabelas here still had some. There's just a shortage due to panic buying. The ammo makers will make more.
