Never in your wildest dreams did colt have ANY THING with the making of that pistol EXCEPT designing a Cartridge for Their /Colt's pistols that happen to fit this makers.

EDITif you offered $100.00[V] you offered 2X more then it could ever be worth.

I hope that his gun smith is better at repairing guns than he is at identifying them because that ain't no Colt.

Maybe you can read "Made in Spain" with a magnifying glass. This is a standard Ruby, Spanish .32 Auto cal. (maybe a .25 cal.). Nothing much cheaper ever made in the early 1900's. Anyone who would identify this as a Colt is totally ignorant of firearms.

Many thousands were made for the French Army, by Spanish manufacturers during World War one. The were exported and sold as surplus to the U.S. during the 50's & 60's. I remember them being sold for around $20, then. Like everything else they have gone up in price, but still a hard sell with few willing buyers. My WAG if it's functional with original magazine, between $75 & $125.

And it is not really WORTH that much unless you are trying to accumulate a novelty collection on the cheap. A full set of the 44 contractors for Ruby pattern pistols would be kind of interesting... but still not very valuable.

He is lying and trying to rip you off, simple as that.
