Your helmet is Korean war to Vietnam vintage. It's missing the chin strap.

The steel pot is dented on top and sorry to say they are not very collectable.

The whole set up is valued at $50 to 75.00

If it was a WWII complete helmet in fairly good condition, the value

would be $250-350, and highly collectable.

The cover is a 1974 contract Mitchell pattern.........The liner is a 1983 contract.....

M1 pot. It's a post-WW2, which was made of manganese steel and will stop service 9mm's. The chin strap is the ball-and-hook type, which will allow the helmet to break away if it is grabbed by someone while on your head.

not really into military gear but I have a helmet & liner [no cloth cover, sweat band or liner chin strap]. Helmet has the seam on the front edging...liner has tan webbing inside Was told it was WW2......

also have a eagle snap ammo belt. was told this was WW1 vintage....

My dad picked these up 4 me at a military surplus store, so I could play army in the late 50s....
