SAIGA 12 INFO..did i make a good deal
So I was in the my local pawnshop today and I saw a new SAIGA 12 for sale. I asked for the price and the guy told me 650 plus tax, so I did what I always do before I buy a gun and search the going prices on Gunbroker. I noticed one auction that was about to end ( Auction # 322049536 )and the price was around $1000. I figured what the heck, I'll take it. I ended up paying 679.99. Once I got back to my office, I logged in to see how the acution was doing and I was shocked to see the shotgun had sold for $1425. Now I started doing a little research and noticed that the previous Saiga 12 sells were hovering around $1000 but only for the ones that were imported by Izhmash. So I figured that must be it, so I looked at mine because I had not looked at that while purchasing it. I couldnt believe that mine was imported by the same company. I didnt even know there were different importers fot the gun. So does anyone know if the importer can affect these shotguns? One thing I did notice about mine is that my shotgun does not have the side AK mount for optics and I am not sure if that make a difference. Did I make a good deal? i have the box and all the cleaning tool that come with it. I know alot of the market has been driven by the election as well as the horrible school shooting. I know around here at my local gunshops, every AR rifle has been sold as well as the magazines. So any info on the Saiga 12 and how the different importers can affect the sale would be greatly appreciated as to determine the going value of my shotgun would be much appreciated. Thanks Guys
