Tokarev M57 magazine question
Until lately I never payed attention to the Tokrevs (until now)
I have recently decided to pick a few different variations
when I look at the m57`some are listed as having 8 round magazine and some are listed as having 9,, Are there two versions? Or just a mistake on the part of the person listing the gun?

The Yugo's have a longer grip that takes a 9 round magazine. All the other of the various East Bloc and Chinese Tokes take a 8 round mag. 0 -

BTW, a 'standard' 8-shot magazine can be extended to fit an M57, I did it when spares for the M57's were scarce and expensive. But the resulting mags only held 7 rounds, because the extensions were inserted. They were still fine for range use. I also modified CZ52 mags for the M57. They are a shade short on the top, but they feed very well. A mag catch slot must be cut in these, and on some, the rear spine must be dressed.0
