Benelli Comfortech Stock ???

They probably "can" be, but I most definitely would NOT do that.

If you want a shorter length of pull, you can simply swap out the recoil pad for a shorter one. The system was designed to do this.

    http://www.benelliusa.com/innovations/comfortech-system.php

Per the website, you can get pads for 13-7/8", 14-3/8" or 14-7/8" LOPs.

    Edit:
Put it this way. Yes, someone who knows what they are doing might be able to shave down the plastic on the stock a little bit and then affix a new custom made buttpad to cover the defect. (I say "probably" because I don't know if the stock is hollow, or what, and there may be other issued involved here).

But in doing this, you'd effectively be ruining the stock. As a frame of reference, these comfortech stocks run over $400 each from Benelli (plus shipping). Is it worth it?

My question is how short do you really need it? The comfortech stock can always be replaced with a standard wood (or synthetic) stock cut to custom length.

Standard Benelli synthetic stocks only run about $150 new (and you may find a used one cheaper), so that seems like a better place to start if you're going to do chopping.

Also I didn't see anything on their website, but you might ask Benelli if they offer something like a comfortech stock or any other stock shorter than standard length. I doubt it, but hey. . .you never know.
