Need help TOKAREV TU-90 magazine release

I'm looking at a TU-90 that comes with a 9mm barrel and also the 7.62x25
set up. The guy says the only problem is that you really got to push on the eject button hard to get it to release the magazine.
I don't have the gun so I can't look and see whats in there
(buying by mail) And I'm not familiar it.
What the heck is in there and can it be much to fix?
Can I still get new parts?

    something else is this TU-90 going to be close to about them same size as a TT-33?

    I had one with that problem. I just put a lighter spring in it. Solved the problem.

    Chinese commercial version of the Russian toke pistol. Imported and sold into the States, during the 90's.

    Never worked on the Chinese toke, but did on the Russian. Be careful in removing what look like slotted screws. They aren't, they are actually spring steel pins that have to be compressed with a special home made tool to get them out. I can only guess the Russians really wanted to make their tokes, soldier proof.

    I don't know if the Chinese used these spring steel pins in their tokes? But if you want to change out the magazine release spring, be aware that it might not be removable like our G.I. 45.

    Rufe, it's not a screw, it's a split pin in the Chicom version. Just take a flat punch and it taps right out. They are so simple even a caveman could do it![:D]

    You know me, old caveman Rufe. It sure didn't tap out in the Russian toke I worked on. I went that rout. The spring pin had a shoulder machined around it's external circumference. It had to be compressed to get the shoulder to clear the hole. Like I said before, the reds didn't want any of their ivans taking them apart in the field.

    I've done it both ways on different Tokarevs. A hollow-ended punch of the right diameter can be a good 'starter', but some yield to a moderate blow using just a flat punch.

    You can buy parts. Many Chicom 213s were parted out.
    The slotted spring pin looks like a screw but aint.
    It has a shoulder that captures the mating part.
    Driving it out with a flat punch will burr the shoulder.
    Use a nail and file a "V" into its' end.
    Now as a punch it will compress the spring slot, allowing removal without damage.
