BARREL WEIGHT ID HELP WANTED

Hello , need some help identifying a handgun barrel weight.
It appreas to mount underneath the barrel
2.375" long,.600 diameter,round except flat on top where two mounting screws protrude thru , and a .275 dovetail on top .

  I just found it in a 1952 shooters bible as well.
