Remington 81 experts question

Are the new and old style firing pins interchangeable? Lengths are the same and Numrich does not differentiate differences between calibers. (I have a .32 Rem parts gun that I want to use the firing pin in a .300 Savage model 81).

  Yes, internals on Model 8 and 81 interchange.

  There were some alterations to the firing pins over the years so some may not work in all 81's and 8's.

  And they still interchange. Numrich has a new replacement that fits both also.
