Contender Accuracy Question
Tonight I traded for a Contender with an extra barrel....a .22 LR Match barrel (10" bull barrel - blue).
I have a standard (non-match) .22 LR barrel (also a 10" bull). Are the the "Match" barrels really better?
If so, why? What is different?
I'm thinking I'd keep this spare barrel if it shoots better!
Thank you!

It's probably a tighter gauged barrel.
Edit:
Sorry about that one, nn and bpost are right. I didn't have my thinking cap on with this one. I had 'barrel' stuck in my mind.0 -
Most have a chamber cut to min specs to help accuracy. 0 -
VonFatman,
The term 'Match' here refers to the chamber only. It is cut with a reamer which has 'Match' chamber specs, usually slightly tighter.

Thanks so much!

Shoot them both and keep the one that works best. May need to try different types of ammo. Match barrel may work better with target ammo but not necessarily so. 0
