375RUM Status?
I went to a Cabela's today and they had 7mm,300 & 338 RUM brass, but no 375. I checked the Remington catalogue and appears they no longer list rifles for the 375RUM. I have found the 375RUM to be a terrific long range elk rifle when loaded with 250gr bullets. So am I in danger of using a discontinued rifle/cartridge?

Winchester & Remington have been doing that since the 60's at least, maybe earlier? Ever here of the 8mm Remington magnum, or the 225 Winchester, or a whole bunch of others that I can' even remember.
If a cartridge doesn't acquire a following within 3 to 5 years, they drop it like a hot potato. They could care less, they are in it for the bucks, not to make you happy. Buy as much as that 375 RUM brass as you can afford, while you can still get it.
Couple of years ago I had a chance to get my hands on a cherry Savage chambered for the 225 Winchester. Happy I didn't, when I found the only ammo available was from commercial loaders.0 -

I do not consider a de-listing of a rifle by Remington to be significant ever. I just buy more brass for reloading and keep my reamers sharpened to cut new chambers.
Midway is listing the .375 RUM brass as being in house on the 19th of December. That will probably include most of the larger supply houses also.

That's one of the risks taken when buying a "new" caliber... or falling in love with a golden oldie that's not the most popular one; sooner or later they'll discontinue the production runs and you're out of off-the-shelf ammo options. 15 years ago when my grandfather died I had a choice of taking home a Savage in .250-3000 or a Remington .257 Roberts. I took the Roberts, as I had not seen .250 Savage rounds in a store in ages. Today that seems like a better deal, as th e.250 is pretty much dead and the Roberts is hanging on.
More like your Ruger dilemma, of the super hyped somewhat recently introduced Short Action mags from Rem and Win, about all I see anymore are the Win .300 and 7mm... the .223, 6mm, .257, .270 and .325 Win and all of the Rem SAUM's are pretty much toast.
From what I've read about the RUM rounds they're very good, so there will be someone making brass and/or loading rounds for it for a while. If you don't yet reload, now would be a great time to get into it.0
