Not sure, but it does have a permanently attached flash hider.

Is that the original models or new models? I have seen them with removable flash hiders....

Upon further review, just the carbine model has a fixed flash hider. Probably so it can meet the barrel length requirement. The standard models have a removable flash hider.

And yes, the barrel is chrome-lined.

Thank you so much. I have a FAL with the Springfield Match upper, very fine condition. I am being offered the Ruger in an even up trade.
