I have a two part question
1- I just bought a Hi Point 995TS with scope. Its the 9mm version. I have read that hydro shok rounds can jam in it. Has anyone had experience with this. They also said that regular round bullets worked best with nearly no jamming or issues.
I have a Marlin 10/22 and a Marlin 989g 22LR. I was told to get the Ruger 10/22 due to the 25rd mags which can be used in them. Is this good advise? Also I have a question on using "hot rounds" in the 22's. I have been told to use Stings and veloceters. Any comments would be welcome..

My experience with various 22 pistols, is that some of them are ammo sensitive. Using Remington Thunderbolts and CCI Mini-Mag Solids, ensures the maximum in reliability. If they function satisfactorily with these cartridges, I will start trying other various brands and types of .22 ammo. 0 -
my highpoints ALWAYS fired everything i put through them. as for the 10-22, all of mine eat any ammo i put through them. even the cheap lead bullets, but you MUST use the factory ruger steel lipped 25rd mags. these are absolutely the best mags out there. use these, and no problems. 0 -
My 995 eats everything I feed it; Golden sabers, reloads of every kind of lead bullet, XTPs, Talons, even flat points & wadcutters.
You may have problems firing Stingers or yellow jackets in your 10-22 since the cases are a tad longer than standard 22s.0 -
I decided to go with CCI Velocetors for the 22LOR, and I bought the new Ruger 10/22 which colapses into two parts! I purchased 4 25rd mags to go with so the party can go on for hours.. I'll use4 the CCI's for regular use and practice with brazers.
On the 9mm I also went with brazers for practicing and Critical Duty 134gr for real usage. I plan to use these bullets in both my Beretta 9mm and my Hi Point. I'm hoping that there won't be all that much difference in performance between the the 4 diff rounds...
BTW I had a S&W 422 pistol and it only has a 10 rd clip. Anyone know of a reliable larger rd clip i can get?0 -

The 422's will function with the late production S & W Model 41 magazines. These are the ones with the orange color plastic follower. They hold 12 rounds.
CCI Velociters are some of the most expensive .22 LR ammo available. Last time I bought a box of 50, it was $6.00+. Your not going to be partying for hours with them and your Ruger, unless your related to Bill Gates.0
