sig sauer P232 380 auto question

Hello, I have a Sig Sauer, P232, SS, 380 auto. I think it is a great gun, fairly accurate and has never jammed shooting all kinds of different ammo...huge plus in my book. My problem is the long, rather draggy, trigger pull. I understand Sig will do a trigger job on these for almost $200.00. Does anyone have a better idea and/or has anyone had the trigger job done by Sig? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  For that kind of money, I would not have a trigger job done. The Sig's .380's are quality guns, but are made to be close range personal protection handguns, not target pistols.
  
  Considering the price that .380 ammo goes for nowadays, do yourself a favor buy a Browning BuckMark for plinking. Trigger pull is quite good right out of the box. They come with adjustable sights, and ammo is 4/5 cents a round if you buy it in bulk lots.

  Some designs don't let you do much, others respond well to tuning.
  Parts look pricey, a guy wouldn't need to ruin many to break the $200 mark. I'd be asking Sig what exactly their $200 tune up gets you.

  My idea is to accept that this gun is designed for personal defense at inside-a-room distances, its not a match gun and never will be, that for what this gun is meant for pinpoint accuracy isn't necessary, and that in fact on a gun like this a heavy trigger pull can be an ASSET because it reduces the likelihood of negligent discharge.
  
  Then pocket your $200 and move on.
  
  If you want a nice trigger, and have $200 lying around do what Rufe says and go buy yourself a WHOLE NEW GUN. Its not as nice as the Buckmark, but you can probably find a used Smith 22A for about $200, and for the money its pretty good.
