Redfield scope rings WW2 1903A3 sniper

I have a set of 7/8 rings that are exactly like the ones in this auction. www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=319950523 Are these worth anywhere near this price or is he unrealistic. Thanks, Steve G.

  Not to me, but to someone trying to restore a rifle maybe. Correct sniper stuff seems to command a premium.

  He doesn't know what he has. This is a set of common commercial 1-piece rings, easily found.
  
  USGI 7/8" 1-piece rings are greenish parkerized rings, which aren't that rare. And, few, if any, 1903A4's were issued with Alaskan scopes, or the M81 or M82.
  
  A set of USGI 7/8" 2-piece rings, required to mount a Korean War era M84 scope, is worth > $200.
  
  Even more rare is the USGI 3/4" 1-piece ring set, required to mount the Weaver 330C, M73B1, or M8 scope, which is correct for the WW2 period.
