standard or magnum primers?

Hello,
Guys I need info and experience on the use standard or magnum primers for the 30-30. I am using IMR 4064 powder and 170 grain flat point slugs. Which is better or is there a difference? I have Hornady and Speer manuals that don't mention any differntial on this matter.

  Use the standard large rifle primeers. The case capacity is not large enough to warrant the use of thee magnum, and could increase your pressures.
  
  My Hornady manual, which is the 7th edition, specifies Federal 210 primers, which are the standard large rifle primer.

  Thanx for responding so quickly to my question . I thought standard primers would be the best choice. Now off to the bench!

  Given the choice, standard primers are the way to go. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to use magnum primers if that's all I had; I'd just back off a bit on the powder.
  Different cartridge and different powder, but FWIW, I found that 21 grains of 2400 with a 240 grain jacketed bullet in my .44 Magnum handguns gave me identical velocities using magnum primers as did 22 grains of the same powder with standard primers. (CCI 300 and 350 as I recall.)

  I use standard primers in the 30-30 with those exact components, 4064 and a 170 grain flatnose. I load to a little more than 2,000 fps, not a red-line load. If I loaded to max, I would still use standard primers.
