Marlin 1895 in .480 Ruger/.475 Linebaugh
Has anyone actually seen one of these rifles in person? I have a Marlin catalogue showing a 1895 with a 22 inch barrel chambered for the above caliber. I have a 1985GS and it is superb. I am interested if Marlin ever did make any 95s in .475L? I heard they had problems relating to feeding. I have read articles online about the Marlin 94 action not being strong enough for high pressure pistol catridges such as the .454, .475L, etc. But, I thought the .480R was low in pressure, relatively speaking, especially compared to the .454?

Never seen a Marlin in that caliber but have seen the Rossi Puma in .480 Ruger and .454 Casull. The Puma is a copy of the Winchester 1892 so I would think a Marlin could handle it. Ruger makes the #1 in .475 Linebaugh/.480 Ruger too. 0
