Mossberg 715T

I have a Mossberg 715T. It has a 25 round magazine. I can only get 12 rounds in before it binds up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Maybe someone put the spring in backwards or upside down. Any external dents or perhaps a nasty burr on the inside. Take it apart.

    I took it apart and checked for burrs. It appears to be a design flaw in the magazine. They have a 3 piece outer casing and it will bind up at the transition from the top half to the bottom half.

    Maybe Mossberg will trade it out for one that works. If not perhaps a light bevel on the follower edges and some epoxy to smooth the joint for the rims/noses.

    Have any local gunstore(s) to try a replacement before you buy one?

    I have contacted Mossberg, waiting for a reply.


    After reading other forums a lot of guys are rounding the bottom edges of the follower and it seems to be fixing the problem.

    My bro has issues with mags on his ATI/GSG-5. His starts to split mid-way and he slapped on those mag clips (you know the ones to bind two mags together) but I think it's just bad design.
