MSH Arched

I came across a "smooth" arched MSH complete(steel)with lanyard ring and can't remember what pistol it came from. I know it was swapped out of a Colt 1911 because thats all I've ever owned but not sure if it was USGI or commercial, so any ideas or time frame ? Thanks [;)]

  For the last 30 years at least. All kind of folks have been making aftermarket parts for the 1911 platform. Without any markings kind of hard to pin it down. You might post some pics, somebody might recognize it.

  as far as I know Colt did not make a SMOOTH arched MSH. sounds aftermarket.

  It definetly has no markings that I can see with a mag. glass, the lanyard loop is what threw me off, my gut feeling was aftermarket too just could'nt remember if older commercial aftermarket msh's was made with the loop. Thanks for the replies [;)]
