SPG lube work with smokless powder?
SPG lube is for black powder. What happens if you use bullets lubed with SPG in smokless loads? Anything bad?

No... but it doesn't have the stuff in it for really high velocity. Fine for pistols though.
EDIT: With regards to the comment below, for 45/70 mild loads, plinker loads around 1000-1500 fps, etc., he's probably right. I just don't find it adequate for 'full tilt' cast loads in the 2000 fps range with gas checks in longer barrels. YMMV of course.0 -
If the rifle is running at the speed required for cast, should be ok. Never understood the reason to buy lube. About any mixture of beeswax and any non petroleum oil (if shooting bp) will work fine. I've put 1000's of rounds through my 2 Sharps 45's and a Colt SAA 45. 0 -
