I was looking for some feedback from someone who had one or who had experience with them. I went ahead and bought the 16" stainless barrel model. After not getting any feedback on here, I spent the better part of a day going through the talk forums and decided to take the leap.

I dressed it out with a Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 (took it off another rifle I never hunted with) and mounted it with a Burris QD scope mount. I took the Magpul flip-ups (included with the rifle) and mounted them with 45 degree offset mounts placing the rear one right behind the scope and the front as far forward as possible. Off to the range I went.....

As far as mods to the rifle that are needed, all I can say is that I've had Daisy BB guns that had better triggers. To say it was horrible would be giving it a compliment. The recoil was no problem, in fact it was just damn fun to shoot and I wouldn't be scared to put this in the hands of a new shooter and know that they would only look forward to shooting more! Accuracy was great with both loads I tried even though I wasn't really going for it, I was just checking function and working on breaking in the barrel.

The functioning: I did have an issue here. About 4 shots into my little outing, I pulled the bolt out for the second time to clean the barrel. When the bolt came out I noticed that towards the head of the bolt there was a roll pin sticking out. I looked down on the shooting bench and low and behold, I found a little spring. I looked at the head of the bolt and noticed the ejector pin was missing. Just for grins, I pushed down on the roll pin and found that it almost went in flush with the push of a finger. All I wanted to do was take this $1400 rifle and beat someone with it (since it wasn't going to function properly in it's present mechanical condition). After a thorough cleaning, I opened up the roll pin a good amount with my pocket knife and reassembled. No more issues arose but if I didn't have the ingenuity that I have, the rifle would have gone back to the factory along with a picture of my posterior with proper kissing instructions.

Nice looking rifle, went on there website to check out. Glad you caught the issue you did. With everybody in a hurry, some things slip out. At least if the worst part is the trigger there are a lot of options to go with.
