High standard Flite-king ??
Have the opportunity to pick up a High Standard Flight King 20 gauge for $150. Supposed to get pictures tonight. I know nothing about them other than what I read about the later ones not being up to par production/quality wise. Any +/- on this one?

Can't go wrong for $150 as long as it's in VG condition and works OK. They only had the action bar on one side though. Cycle the pump action a number of times rapidly, to make sure that the action bar isn't binding up. 0 -
pump shotguns don't go much lower than $150, if it's in decent shape go for it. 0 -
The 20 gauge Flite King shotguns were introduced in the early 1960's and there were two different design series, K-200 and K-2011, between this gun's introduction and the end of long gun introduction in early 1977. There is an assembly date code in the form of two uppercase letters in the barrel just forward of the receiver.
There are some comments about these guns on the internet which do not stand close scrutiny. One even claims that High Standard outsourced the late Model 20's to an outside manufacturer which is simply not true. One must find the data on the internet and qualify the validity of the data or information.
Note that in the mid 1960's through the mid 1970's time frame after Sears ceased being their largest customer the majority of these shotguns were manufactured made a store brand guns under a variety of model names. Some of these store brand guns were and some were not marked High Standard.0 -
Finally picked it up last night along with 7 boxes of shells, a case of skeet and one of those cheezy plastic skeet throwers. I did the research and found that this was made in May of 1966 with 26" barrel and full choke (model 8403). It has 2 action bars. My question is now, How do I get the bolt group out? 0
