Beretta Storm Holster
Asking for a friend, he wants a shoulder holster and a hip holster for a 4" Beretta Storm. The gun is used for CCW during the winter time mostly, he's in Oregon so a heavier jacket or large flannel shirt will be worn.
He wants the hip holster to be a cross drawer - my guess is because he'll be wearing while driving and is willing to give up a bit of concealability for comfort. Doesn't matter whether the material is leather or man made. Being able to remove the belt holster without removing his belt would be a plus.
Any suggestions on which holsters to buy?

Have him check out the Uncle Mikes & Fobus lines of synthetic holsters. That's what I been using lately. Many different models of belt holsters by these two manufacturers. Priced right and work OK, as far as I'm concerned.
Not sure about shoulder holsters though? I give up on them years ago. Shoulder holsters just don't work for a fat boy with short arms.0 -
I can't get into specific brands or models, but shoulder holsters are THE way to go for concealed carry if you're sitting down (ie driving).
Pocket holster is basically impossible to draw while sitting, and most belt-line holster options are either uncomfortable, difficult to draw quickly, or usually both.
You can get away with a gun in a shirt or jacket pocket, but only if its fairly small and light, and I wouldn't do it with a Beretta Storm.0 -
El Paso Saddlery www.epsaddlery.com if you like leather. Mitch Rosen also makes great holsters. I had an Uncle Mikes shoulder holster and it was the most uncomfortable way for me to carry a gun. 0 -
I'm not sure if he's looking for leather or plastic, I sent Blackhawk SHERPA his way as a suggestion for shoulder holster. Thanks for the El Paso suggestion.
The full size Storm is something I'd prefer to not carry either. I got my 1st LTC about 35 years ago and habitually carried a steel Commander or 4" Smith 28. Nowadays the biggest and heaviest thing I carry is a Detonics I bought around 1977.0
