Rossi Model 68 striker installation question

I have a Rossi Model 68, .38SPL revolver that I bought w/the striker removed from the hammer. Bought a new striker retaining pin from Numrich. Thought I'd ask if anyone has any insight as to proper installation. IE: Is it designed to go in from one side? Any advice appreciated.

  The pic's for yours and my smith 60 show from left to right looking down the sights (more then likely a function of the drawing. You might lightly bevel the pin and the hole to make it easier. Holding the alignment with a punch helps too.
