remington date of manufacture
I looked at the sticky for serials, but the remington site just does serials after 1921.
I have a Remington Over / Under Derringer .41RF Type 3 with a 3 digit serial. mid 200's. I was just curious if anyone had a date for it's birth lol. I would guess 1888 to 1890, but it's just a guess

My remington 37 does not have any letter codes on the L/S of the barrel so I can't use the listed code dates. The serial number is 0261x, and on the trigger there's no patent number, only (patent pending) I am assuming it's a fairly early issue. Is there anyway to date it by the serial number? 0 -
You have a great target rifle. cant really help on date but with pictures we may be able to tell if made before 1940 change. if you have single shot adapter and extra Magazine they are hard to find big $$ items.

model 1940 had slightly different STOCK. Also what sights that were Available.0 -

What was the change in 1940? if you're refering to the barrel band it dosen't have one. Rem 37's were made from 1936 to 1955 0 -

the rem. m-37 barrel code is on the RIGHT side of the barrel (at least mine is [;)] )
