Is there any reason (special I hope hehe) that this Mauser Model 1910 doesn't say Mauser on the right side but instead says 'Germany'? Thanks so much!

  From the 1890's on all manufactured products exported to the U.S., had to be marked with their country of origin. German handguns destined for commercial sale in the States, are marked in various places and in different sizes and fonts.

  I have been collecting Sidelatches for over 40 years. You have an early export commercial of the big safety variation. While common among collectors, it's not a common one to see in general trade.
  It is pre-WWI by the serno.
