I would like to know the value of a Browning BL22 manufactured in 1977.

    Good gun? found a cheap one that was for sale locally. comes with a scope.at 95% what are they worth? thoughts?

    Japanese made, with a very good reputation. You might check out the Browning forum on the Rimfire Central web-site, BL 22's are a frequent topic.

    EDIT #1, DOM can be ascertained by the date code that's a integral part of the serial number. Go to the Browning web site, they explain how to DOM all their modern guns, from the 60's to the present.

    I had one back in the 70's,one of the best .22 levers I ever owned,accurate and reliable.Sold it to my brother to pay the rent,I get to shoot it whenever I visit so I have never bought another one.

    I have had one for about 4 years.I like the short stroke of the loading lever.Shoots anything you feed it.You can mix any combo of 22 ammo and it feeds it with no problems.The only thing I don't like is the glossey finish on the stock.

    I owned one and it was a very good rifle but you did'nt want to work on it nor would any local smiths( very complicated rifle). I traded it for something I can't remember what but kept my Marlin Golden Mountie [:D], it ain't leave'en me [;)]

    I bought two grade 2's about 30 years ago. One is still new in the box. I love shooting the one I use. The short throw is very nice! You will not be disappointed!

    I've been kicking my a$$ for ever getting rid of the grade II I had [B)] It was the most accurate 22 out of the box I have had [^]
    Liked the short lever stroke better than my Marlin Golden Mountie.

    well i got it today, as new , dunno what year but the label said Browning Bl22 &........its written miroku ml22. most i seen are in the ?500/$700 bracket, this bargain was ?200/$300
