Remington Nylon 12
I recently acquired a Remington Mylon 12. I am trying to find out more about the gun, specifically where to find the serial number, and if they were produced with one specific bolt. The bolt on the one I bought is round, and all the rest I've seen on gunbroker have a wide, flat bolt. I did a google image search and found one photo of this rifle with a bolt like mine. I'm trying to determine the value. Please help? Thanks!

The 12's don't have serial numbers. They were manufactured prior to the 1968 gun law, that mandated that all firearms had to have serial numbers.
My reference notes that 27,551 12's, were manufactured between 1962 & 1964.0 -
If I remember correctly, the Remington Nylon 10, 11 and 12 used the same bolt and barrel as the Remington 510 series of .22 rifles. The Nylon rifles just had a "flattened" bolt handle. You may have a replacement bolt.
bolt for the REMINGTON 510, 512P, 510X, 511, 511X, 512, 512X0 -
Here is a flat bolt to watch. Hard to tell if Bubba swapped out some parts but if you found a pic of a round bolt I would think that they are not all that rare or worth a lot less/extra.
