"NOW TO FIND ONE OF THOSE TOOLS?"..............hop in your 'way-back' machine and buy one from Winchester (about 1959 should do it) ;-). tooling for many of the old guns has been out of production for 1/2 a century. you can watch e-barf or check out some of the older gun shops/ gunsmiths. as to the barrel adjustinf sleaves... it is trial and error. Simmons Gun Smithing may have parts as they bought most of winchesters stock of parts in the 1980's

I did Learn how to hold the Barrel so you could Remove the extinion
I have a Barrel vise with OAK WOOD BUSHING.
I cut a 2x4" OAK pice then drilled My hole just a tight fit on the Barrel, Then cut 2 cuts down the middle, giving me about 1/8" gap to tighten down oh,
on ea side of the hole I sprinkled Pine Rosin, then Tighten it down
No way is it going to turn now, as I do what ever I want with it.
I can Turn the Barrel extinion all that I want with a 24" Creston wrench.and a square adapter on the extinion

    PROBLEM SOLVED
    Thank the LORD.
