Rem 1100 TRAP question
Hey experts,
I picked up a lightly used 1100 Trap yesterday in a trade; monte carlo stock, 2 3/4" chamber, with a 30" full choke VR barrel. I was wondering of the Trap version can take any of the 1100 barrels with a 2 3/4 in chamber (26" vent with interchangable chokes, for example). Thanks!

Yes. All of the 1100 23/4 receivers are the same for about 50 years now. The trap or skeet version has a different stock. One of the reasons it is the largest selling autoloader of all time. (No changes to a very successful shotgun.) 0 -
But, the barrel is different; the trap barrel has 2 beads.
And, the trap stock usually has a recoil pad.

I saw that stud inside the chamber and I had no idea what that was...so that's what it's for. It came with the raised comb, twin beads (front is white faced), soft recoil pad and a glossy stock with really nice wood.
I traded it for a almost-new (maybe 2 boxes through it) Winchester Ranger 20ga semi-auto and I threw in 100 bucks. My buddy bought the 1100 for his daughter to hunt quail with, but it was waaay too big and heavy. The Ranger is much better suited for what he needed, and he was happy to get rid of it. I haven't shot the Ranger in at least 10 years, so it was easy to send along to someone who can actually use it. Thanks again for the help!0 -
