Sig M400

I would appreciate any comments about the performance of their Sig M 400.
Im thinking of buying one.

  Sig just used it to get on the direct impingement band wagon. Your just paying that much more for the Sig name, over and above the price of the equivalent carbine with the DPMS name.

  Actually I thought the $897.00 they are asking for a new one(w/scope)is low if the rifle is close to the same quality I have learned to expect from Sig.
  Can anyone give an opinion based on their own experience as to the quality of the M400?
  Maybe Sig has come out with some economy models ala S&W Sigmas?
