marlin 336 scope mounting help
Tonight i went to go mount a scope on my marlin 336 but ran into a small problem i was going to use see through Weaver scope mounts but when i put the mounts on the bases the bolt used to secure the mounts to the bases obscures the iron sights ...any ideas on if there is a way around this problem or do i just need different scope mounts

Weaver makes a set of see thru rings that attach directly to your receiver, that would be the way to go. You will have a clear view of your iron sights. Here is an example:

self edited to remove the link to outside websight.[B)]0 -
While I don't like see thru mounts and rings, {raises the scope too high for my likes} These are very good for that use. Rings are part of the mount. The tunnel makes for a "peep" site set up.
