Ruger OM Vaquero 45 w 45acp cyl

I purchased a 45acp cylinder for my Ruger OM 45 Vaquero. Do I need to send every thing back to Ruger to have it fitted for my gun?

  Maybe, maybe not.
  Put it in the gun.
  Does it time correctly and not bind in rotation?
  Is the cylinder gap reasonable?
  If so, shoot.
  If not, contact Ruger.

  Ir would be best if you did send everything back to Ruger, to be properly timed and adjusted. That way you know it is right per their specifications.
