Quad rail length

I am looking at buying a Dpms bull 20 (bull barrel 20" in .223). It comes with a smooth forearm and i want to change that out to a quad rail. I want to check out my options before i buy the gun. What length forearm would fit on a 20" bull barrel?

  If you've got a gas block that the forearm will fit over then you can go as long as you want. Viking Tactics makes some very nice lightweight forearms with a full rail on top and points on which to mount other short sections of rail.

  12" or longer depending on your front sight.

  4" to 20" will fit
  The key is what do you want to mount??
  Even on my 28" barrel uppers I don't think I have more than a 10" rail.
