Gun Value ?
A friend wants to sell me his guns and wants 225 for each gun.
The first one is 1917 Gewehr 98 Simson & Stuhl numbers do not match but in great shape.
The next one is a 1932 Finnish M/27 made by Tikkakoski in good shape but the numbers match.
Are they worth the money. If so which should i get.

I have a makarov 9 x 18 made in 1966 with no import marks. It is in about 75% shape any ideas how much its worth? Thanks David 0 -
IMHO, the Finn is a super good deal. I sold my Model 1927 for $400, a number of years ago. You will never lose a dime at that price.
The Gewehr is kind of iffi. Not likely you going to make nearly as much off it as the Finn, if you decide to sell it. If you are going to keep it as a shooter for yourself though, it's a OK deal.
Recently I've seen guys asking that kind of money for Turks. A original G 98 is a much more desirable/collectable rifle, than any Turk.0 -
I would get them both quick before he changes his mind! I agree with Rufe...the Finn is the MUCH better deal but both are steals IMO....if they are, as you say, "...in great shape." 0 -
