i have a feeling, based on nothing but my knee jerk reaction, that we might be talking about an off paper NFA item here that the op is going to try to get on paper, which we all know isnt going to go well.
i might be completely off base. for some reason when i read his posts, i envisioned a recently departed family members effect being sorted and an unregistered german war souvenir being discovered.
please correct me if im wrong...0 -
In a nutshell if you had a relative who owned say an old Tommygun from the Great Depression era, stuck it in an attic where it sat til his death. Now you find it but also find that the gun was never registered you won't be able to now. You will have to turn it in or maybe donate to a museum..or render it inoperable. This site has some of the most knowledgeable people around an all topics related to guns. When you come in asking for help, it is a much better policy to ANSWER requests for more details, which aids the experts in providing a more valid response to you, than to cop an attitude. [;)] 0 -

Seems that raises the flag, and by the way...you are not dealing with amatuer hour , or amatuers here. If you answered a couple questions, that were asked, it could help dramatically. However, having a family heirloom, that is not registered, you might as well say you lost it. If it is registered, and you don't have the paper's, it might equivilate to the same.
