Are HK MP5 mags the same as SP89 mags??

  The SP89 is the civilian version of the MP5, so yes the magazines interchange.

  Yes ... as long as your looking at the 9mm mags ... the SP-89 was only produced in 9mm but the MP5 was produced in 9mm, 40S&W & 10mm
  
  Also, the SP-89 is a pistol, which is the civilian version of the MP5K ... The MP5 has a stock and longer barrel, it's civilian version is the HK-94 which in 9mm all 4 would use the same mag.
